Terms of Service
Cascade Ski Club — Government Camp, Oregon
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cascade Ski Club ("the Club", "we", "us") website, online booking system, and lodge facilities. By creating an account, registering family members, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms, the Lodge Rules, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the booking system.
2. Membership and Accounts
- Use of the booking system is limited to Club members in good standing, their registered family members, and invited guests.
- Membership types, annual fees, and initiation fees are set by the Club and shown on the membership rates page. A membership must be active and paid before accommodations can be booked.
- You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering yourself and any family members, and to keep your account credentials confidential.
- The primary account holder is responsible for all activity under their account, including bookings made for family members and guests.
- Family member profiles for children are created and managed by a parent or guardian. Children's profiles cannot log in or make bookings themselves.
3. Bookings and Lodge Use
- All overnight stays must be booked through the online system before occupying a bunk or room, per the Lodge Rules.
- First and last names are required for every member and guest on a booking.
- Bookings are personal to the named occupants and may not be transferred or resold.
- The Club may cancel or modify a booking when necessary (for example, for maintenance, safety, or scheduled Club events). If the Club cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
4. Payments, Wallet, and Refunds
- Card payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. The Club does not store your full card number.
- Your member wallet is an internal Club credit balance that can be applied toward bookings and invoices. It is not a bank account, does not earn interest, and has no cash value outside the Club.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the Club's cancellation policy in effect at the time of booking, including any full- and partial-refund cutoff windows.
- Refunds are issued to your member wallet by default. Refunds to your original payment card may be requested in exceptional cases (such as account closure) and are handled by Club administrators.
- Membership fees and invoices are due as stated on the invoice. Unpaid invoices may result in suspension of booking privileges.
5. Member Conduct
Members and their guests are expected to behave consistently with the Club's mission and the Lodge Rules. Violations may result in cancellation of bookings, suspension of booking privileges, or termination of membership in accordance with the Club's bylaws.
6. Assumption of Risk
Skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and other mountain recreation are inherently hazardous activities. Use of the lodge and participation in Club activities are at your own risk. The Club is not responsible for personal property brought to the lodge. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under Oregon law.
7. Website Availability
We aim to keep the booking system available and accurate but provide it "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. If a payment succeeds but a booking fails to record, contact us — our payment records allow us to locate and resolve the charge.
8. Changes to These Terms
The Club may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, announced to members. Continued use of the booking system after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
